**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Graduate of a Medical Office Administration Program or Medical Terminology Certificate and equivalent in related experience
- Working experience transcribing and/or understanding/utilizing medical terminology
- One year experience in the past three years as a Clerk Receptionist.
- One year recent experience with computer software including Kronos, Microsoft Office programs, with data entry experience
- Accurate keyboarding skills with a minimum of 50 w.p.m.
- Experience in order entry/Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling
- Experience and efficiency in transcribing physician orders
- Experience in completing payroll, timesheets and scheduling staff
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care
- Excellent communication skills and ability to respect the confidentially of personnel and patient information
- Compliance with confidential requirements under the Niagara Health System Privacy Policy
- Demonstrated professional attitude while interacting with the public, patients, employees and medical staff
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays
- Must have valid Ontario driver's license and have access to reliable transportation
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Proficiency in both official lanaguages (English and French) will be considered an asset
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
