Job Summary

Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with CCEYA and other Ministry of Education requirements, Ottawa Public Health regulations, fire codes, and all other relevant laws and regulations.

Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensure all center policies and procedures are being followed by all team members, maintaining a high standard of care and operational efficiency.

Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure that staff are well-informed, trained, and adhering to best practices.

Client Engagement: Conduct tours with potential clients, acting as the face of the center and the main point of contact for current clients. Address any concerns or questions from parents promptly and professionally.

Operational Oversight: Ensure the center is functioning properly on a day-to-day basis, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children. Monitor and manage quality control measures to ensure high standards are met.

Communication with COO: Inform the COO of any issues or significant developments in a timely manner, providing regular updates on the center’s performance and any areas requiring attention.

Maintenance and Organization: Maintain the office and center in good state of repair, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times. Ensure all files and folders are organized and up to date.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator.

Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, able to effectively convey information to parents, and team members. Fluency in bilingualism is a non-negotiable requirement.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of CCEYA, "How Does Learning Happen?" framework, and socio-constructivism.

Salary $30.50 /hour including Provincial Wage Enhancement, for as long as the enhancement remains in effect.
