Applications are invited for the position of Student Appeals Manager, in the Enrolment Services Division, located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $85,529 to $106,911 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Corresponding and interacting with students, academic administrators, and appeal panel members, on matters including, collecting and analyzing appeal submissions and determining eligible evidence
- Coordinating formal hearings and securing panel members to hear the case, finalizing documentation of the event, and communicating the outcome to all parties involved
- Reviewing policies, procedures, and processes to continually improve the framework to manage appeals and misconduct
- Create communication campaigns at the appropriate time of the term to engage students with strategies to avoid misconduct, as well as leveraging technology to make educational materials more accessible/available to students
- Supporting enrolment services directors with special initiatives, including, participating on committees/working groups dealing with behaviour or misconduct concerns and liaising with Campus Safety and Security for requests related to student privacy or identity verification

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum four (4) year degree in a related field of study, with a focus on communications
- Minimum five (5) years experience in policy interpretation, and policy/procedure development
- Experience in investigative processes and reviews of evidence, conflict resolution and dealing with escalated situations
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent listening, oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner
