Our Financial Services Department has an exciting opportunity for the permanent full-time position of Revenue Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of the tax and utility billing processes, in accordance with established legislation, bylaws, regulations and policy requirements. The Revenue Coordinator will be the primary contact for staff and customer taxation, utility and other revenue related inquiries that require more in-depth clarification. With a strong finance and accounting background, this position will be responsible for reconciliation of tax and utility accounts, preparing journal entries, analysis of accounts and other revenue tasks. Additional duties will include assisting the Manager of Finance with other financial tasks including accounting, budgeting, and payroll. Assisting with general counter and telephone inquiries may also be required.
- A post-secondary diploma and/or degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a finance or taxation department, preferably in a local government setting.
- Completion of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) pre-requisite courses would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with people in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner.
- Able to multi-task, establish priorities and deliver under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting as it relates to property taxes, utilities and property assessments.
- Note: an equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge may be considered if deemed acceptable by the employer._

This exempt position offers competitive salary, professional development opportunities and an excellent benefits package. Successful applicants will be expected to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30 pm. This position may require overtime during certain times of the year.
