**Summary of responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Supervisor Sterile Processing Department, the CSR Aide cleans, prepares, sterilizes and delivers reprocessed surgical supplies and equipment

**Requirements of the job**:

- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Successful completion of the Central Service Technique Course and recertification every 5 years
- Six (6) months of recent experience within the last 24 months operating sterilization equipment within an CSR/SPD environment
- Ability to push/pull Central Supply cart
- Ability to push sterilizer carts into autoclave
- Ability to unload linen O.R. bundles from cart to counter
- Able to lift sterilized O.R. bundles overhead onto shelving
- Able to stand 6 to 7 hours each day
- Able to use necessary soaps and solutions
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
