**MISSSION**

As a Buyer, the major objective is to responds to requests, advise, and assist the site’s operational staff. The Buyer would need to manage a defined purchasing portfolio (services, products, equipment).
- Responsible for the Operational Procurement for one site or several sites.
- Contributes to projects led by the Key Category Managers (KCM), and to the proper execution of the associated action plans for the site.
- Applies the appropriate purchasing methods to achieve the objectives of the site.
- Follows MERSEN purchasing guidelines.
- Evaluates the performance of the suppliers (quality, costs, delivery, innovation, treasury, and risk management).
- Ensures the deployment of the Site’s purchasing actions plans, activity standards, tools, programs, and regulations in accordance with MERSEN’s ethical code and Corporate Social Responsibility. Tracks performance using operational and outcome indicators.
- Proposes cost-saving plans and provides regular reports to analyze and encourage progress with respect to these objectives.
- Organizes Requests for Proposal and negotiates on a legal and commercial standpoint. Proposes subcontracts to his/her direct manager.
- Negotiates contracts within the limits of its responsibilities for one Site, or for several Sites, in the form of a Lead Buyer.
- Participates in the Supplier Evaluation Program.
- Follows up and expedites deliveries as and when required, in order to meet the customer needs.

**Required Skills**:

- You have a Two-year college or technical school, and you have 5+ years of purchasing experience.
- Ability to use general IT such as ERP, Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. French knowledge would be an asset.
- Proven Analytical skills would be an asset.

MISSSION

En tant qu’acheteur, l’objectif principal est de répondre aux demandes, de conseiller et d’aider le personnel opérationnel du site. L’acheteur devrait gérer un portefeuille d’achats défini (services, produits, équipement).

Responsable de l’approvisionnement opérationnel pour un ou plusieurs sites.

Contribuer aux projets dirigés par les gestionnaires de catégories clés (KCM) et à la bonne exécution des plans d’action connexes pour le site.

Applique les méthodes d’achat appropriées pour atteindre les objectifs du site.

Suit les directives d’achat de MERSEN.

Évalue la performance des fournisseurs (qualité, coûts, livraison, innovation, trésorerie et gestion des risques).

Assure le déploiement des plans d’actions d’achat, des normes d’activité, des outils, des programmes et des réglementations du Site conformément au code d’éthique de MERSEN et à la responsabilité sociale d’entreprise. Fait le suivi du rendement à l’aide d’indicateurs opérationnels et de résultats.
