**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (SOPs/GMP) to operate equipment resulting in compliant product.
- Adhere to all company health and safety requirements.
- Available and ready at start of shift.
- Carry out all production-related responsibilities (dispensing, blending, bottling, packing and cleaning) and meeting standards for each process.
- Participate in routine equipment repair/maintenance.
- Participate in routine sanitation activities.
- Lift and stack materials onto pallets and secure for movement.
- Daily staging of raw materials for production.
- Document all actions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Routinely monitor manufacturing processes and recognize potential process issues as they arise.
- Work in close collaboration with Quality Department to ensure compliance of product and process.
- Store/remove materials in warehouse following First In/First Out (FIFO).
- Maintain adequate house-keeping functions to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations and standards, which includes always keeping the work area clean.
- When necessary, assist Load/Unload trailers for delivery and receiving.

**Additional Operations Opportunities/Duties**:

- Adhere to all SOPs for shipping and receiving materials and fulfill shipping/receiving requirements.
- Assist with or training of new employees.
- Interest and willingness to be trained and operate a forklift.
- Interest and capable of assisting/taking on technical writing such as SOP’s or other documentation.
- Assist or take on non-routine equipment maintenance or office repair.
- Interest in Occupational Health and Safety.
- May include other duties as assigned from time to time.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Production experience in the natural health product, pharmaceutical or food industry is preferred.
- Ability to learn and perform multiple roles as cross training is a requirement.
- Direct experience with processing and packaging equipment is preferred.
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education is required.
- Conscientious of safety and quality with strong attention to detail and above average organizational skills.
- Mechanically inclined; ability to effectively multi-task and troubleshoot and make repairs to mechanical and low voltage electrical equipment.
- Able to perform routine mathematical calculations and conversions for weights and other measurements.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, safely maneuver heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
- Warehouse experience in shipping/receiving considered an asset.
- Forklift experience/training will be required.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Solid understanding of health and safety requirements within a production environment; experience within an OH&S Committee an asset.
- Must be a true team player who is also able to work independently as required.
- Functional computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are a requirement.
