Lead Host/hostess

Dovetail is a California inspired restaurant in Yaletown We are looking for a lead host/hostess that is passionate about guest relations. The lead Host/Hostess will be our first point of contact at the front door and will lead the host team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Train and develop the host team
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Create programs to elevate first impressions and front door experiences
- Take reservations and manage the seating chart
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers
- Assist with taking food and drink orders when necessary
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Monitor dining areas and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide excellent customer service

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
