Description:
As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Professional association must be recognized by Alberta’s Health Profession Act (e.g. ACSW, College of Alberta Psychologists). Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience and excellence in family, group and individual therapy in a mental health/psychiatric setting; preferably with adolescents and young adults coping with an eating disorder. Experience working collaboratively in the provision of a full range of services, from promotion and prevention to treatment and restoration, preferably as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in family therapy and family assessment. Familiarity with use of reflecting teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Creative, flexible, collaborative systems thinker. Knowledge about evaluation strategies and outcome research. Strong computer skills. Strong family therapy skills essential.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Strong Family & Group Therapy Skills. Extensive experience working within mental health. Familiar with Connect Care.
