**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of all golf course maintenance activities.
- Ensure that agronomic practices such as irrigation, fertilization, and pest control are performed effectively.
- Oversee the management of irrigation systems, including Rainbird central control, ensuring optimal water use.
- Participate in the development and implementation of short
- and long-term plans for the course.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to manage course projects, renovations, and daily operations.
- Foster and maintain relationships with club members, vendors, and industry professionals.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and motivating grounds staff.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely by employees.
- Maintain accurate records for all turf management practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a recognized university or college turf management program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of agronomy and integrated pest management.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Jonas software; knowledge of golf course management software is an asset.
- Practical experience in golf course construction techniques, project planning, and implementation.
- Knowledge of irrigation scheduling, programming, and the use of central control technology.
- Experience with Rainbird central control software is an asset.
- BC pesticide applicator’s certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
