The Assisted Independent Living (AIL) Program provides accommodations and supports to adults with acquired brain injury, mental health diagnoses, as well as physical, developmental, and medical healthcare needs to provide them with resources to live healthy and fulfilling lives at home and in the community.

- Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.

**Positions available**:
- **Monday to Friday **8:30am-4:30pm**
Work collaboratively with the department Director and Program Manager to maintain the program in a fun and flexible environment. Coordinate and manage a caseload of assigned responsibilities. Act as a resource to individuals served, their respective family members or representatives and the care providers. Perform a variety of professional activities in support of the Program including but not limited to overseeing contracted community support homes, connecting with contracted care providers in the community to oversee service provision, coordinating OT, PT and other health care-related services to support the individual in service, collaborating with stakeholders, reporting to Funders regarding critical planning and incidents, assisting new participants with transitioning into the program, overseeing individualized client-centered service plans and ensuring all standards are upheld.
**Job Qualifications include**:
- Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Services, Pyhsical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioural Interventionist/Counsellor, Criminology, Social Work or equivalent.
**Job Requirements include**:
- Criminal Record Check
- TB Test
- First Aid and CPR Level C
- Valid Class 5 BCDL and reliable vehicle to use for work purposes
- Mandt 2-Day (high-risk clients) - Training provided after hiring
**Additional Requirements**:
- Experience in the public or non-profit sector
- Experience working with individuals with physical, developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and/or complex health issues
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience working with a case management team
- Demonstrated ability to deal with crisis and emergency situations
- Computer literacy and experience with databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Position includes rotating on-call duties
**Start Date**:September 30, 2024
**Compensation**: $32.48/hr
