The Home Care Resource Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of direct service staff within the Home Care Program. The incumbent is responsible for the recruitment, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of Home Care Attendants and Home Support Workers. The incumbent provides services within regular office hours and afterhours hours as required for staff supervision.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Overview**:
**Resource Management**
- Maintains an adequate pool of Direct Service Workers for each geographical area assigned.
- Provides and arranges education for Direct Service Workers as required.
- Supports Direct Service Workers to obtain all required education and maintains an appropriate education list.
- Responsible for Direct Service Workers Payroll as required.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team as needed.
- Maintains clinical documentation and standards as required.
- Provides staff meetings and information sessions for DSS
- Maintains staff listings and information in EHCR and QHR
- Maintains staff service requirements and education competencies in EHCR
- Acts in accordance with Home Care Policies and Procedures
- Provides Direct Service Workers the required documentation/assigned information in order to perform their tasks and duties
- Maintains Home Care client information in accordance with established guidelines
- Has a working knowledge of all applicable Collective Agreements.
- Responds to calls from employees and clients
- Authorizes Requests for Leave, including vacation
- Completes and submits all required HR and Payroll paperwork for all Direct Service Workers

**Recruitment**
- Identifies resource needs and seeks out potential applicants through approved recruitment methods.
- Screens, interviews, and selects direct service staff using standardized selection process. Notifies applicant of employment decision and completes appropriate employment documentation.

**Orientation**
- Provides orientation to program, employment conditions, position responsibilities, and administration of Home Care Direct Service Staff.
- Facilitates staff participation in Regional and Clinical orientation, as applicable

**Administration**
- Maintains employee personnel files as per guidelines.
- Submits reports and statistics as required.
- Supports the provision of the collective agreement related processes are met with direct service staff including but not limited to workers compensation, sick leave, pension plan, seniority lists etc.
- Completes all required documentation as per PMH regional and Home Care polic

**Employee Supervision and Evaluation**
- Provides ongoing direction, on-site visits, staff meetings, and case conferences
- Identifies, resolves, and documents problems related to standards of performance.
- Conducts formal performance conversations
- Identifies learning/resource needs of direct service staff and organizes learning plans to meet these needs
