Supervisor - Asbestos Abatement

Ethical Waste Services is committed to adhering environmental standards, regulations, and practices. Asbestos Abatement Supervisors ensure that the team on site is performing well and the project is going according to the plan.

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supervising moderate and high risk asbestos abatement projects
- Supervising workers and delegating tasks
- Assisting workers in completing projects
- Assessing and ensuring job-site safety and WorkSafeBC protocols are followed at all times
- Establishing methods to meet project deadlines and coordinate work activities
- Resolving work related problems and implementing measures to improve productivity
- Completing all daily paperwork for projects and displaying necessary documents on site
- Training new workers on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
- Setting up asbestos containments and multi-stage decontamination facilities
- Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager

**Requirements**:

- Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Willing and able to be clean shaven to ensure proper respirator fit
- Willing and able to work in a team environment
- Willing and able to work in varying temperatures
- Committed to following safe work practices
- Knowledge of moderate and high risk asbestos abatement
- Familiar with hand tools, power tools and asbestos related equipment
- Strong initiative and work ethic
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Dependability

**Qualifications**
- 2 - 3 years of previous experience in an asbestos supervisor role (required)
- Asbestos Abatement Supervisor Certificate (required)
- Moderate and High Risk Asbestos Abatement Certificate (required)
- Valid BC Driver’s License (required)

**Schedule**
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional option to work Saturdays
- Full time, 8 hour shifts
- Overtime
