Production Bagger

**Job Title**: Production Bagging Team Member

Organic Matters is a family-owned organic food company committed to providing high-quality, sustainably sourced organic products to our customers.

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Bagging**: Packaging products of various sizes following manufacturing guidelines. Carefully using scales and other equipment to ensure that all products are manufactured properly and labeled correctly.

2. **Production Workflow**: Aiding other baggers by moving product or other means to ensure overall production is proceeding efficiently. Loading bulk product into hoppers of bagging machines.

3. **Product Inspection**: Visually inspecting products for obvious signs of defects or contamination prior and during production. Bringing quality concerns to the Production Lead or other Management staff so that a solution can be formed.

4. **Production Area Cleaning**: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area during and follow manufacturing paying special attention to hygiene and avoiding cross-contamination.

5. **Equipment Care**: Clean and sanitize equipment and as needed, ensuring they are in good working condition. Following guidelines to care for all supplied clothing and cloths.

6. **Inventory Management**: Offer assistance to other warehouse personnel to manage inventory and ensure accuracy.

7. **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.

8. **Assist other departments**: Collaborate with other departments when there is extra time or high-priority tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Must be comfortable sitting and standing throughout the day.** *
**Full-time availability is preferred Mon-Fri (8:30am-4:30pm)**

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $18.50/hour.
