**1 ‑ Temporary Part Time (.5) ‑ Kinesiologist**

**Physiotherapy ‑ Cardiac Rehab**

Reporting to the Manager ‑ Rehabilitation & Healthy Lifestyles Program, you will be responsible for providing

education, counselling and exercise programming to participants of the Rehabilitation & Healthy Lifestyles program.

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, that includes regional partners, you will provide program elements within

the practice standards of your specific discipline and the guidelines of the Canadian Association of Cardiovascular

Prevention and Rehabilitation and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Applicants will have the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education or Physiotherapy
- Must be registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario or have the ability to become registered
- Current certification in BCLS
- Two or more years experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation and chronic disease management
- One of the following certifications: ACSM Exercise Specialist certification, ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise

Physiologist, CSEP‑ Certified Personal Trainer, CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist
- Excellent communication skills, including conflict resolution
- Demonstrated patient and family centred care approach
- Knowledge of cardiac risk stratification and behaviour modification
- Knowledge of the principles of Adult Learning

In addition, applicants must have skill and experience in the following elements of cardiac rehabilitation services:

- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Client and family education
- Creating clinical exercise prescription
- Practicing as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Delivery of services via Telemedicine
- Case management
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Conducting training sessions for professional staff

Salary Range: $35.420 to 45.130
