**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, Reproductive Mental Health Service, Mental Health and Addictions Program. The Reproductive Mental Health Service (RMHS) provides specialty mental health care to adult pregnant and postpartum people. RMHS provides both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive assessment and treatment initiationto patients on referral from community and hospital based health care providers; including obstetricians, gynecologists, family physicians, pediatricians, maternal and newborn nursing, public health nursing and others. Ongoing management and monitoring is provided to people primarily from the Capital district though referrals are seen in consultation from throughout the province and region as requested. This multidisciplinary team includes psychiatry and social work. This clinical position will have responsibility for assessment and follow-up treatment of adults with mental health presentations, within the interdisciplinary team. Some patients will be referred to other mental health services and resources within the community. This position will require strong knowledge and skill in adult interdisciplinary mental health practice and communication sophistication to represent the Service within the IWK Health Centre and the broader community of caregivers. Family Focused Care includes the effective engagement of community partners, primary care professionals, family and friends in the patient’s recovery plan. The clinician will be responsible for all associated documentation around patient care and be involved in team educational activities, rounds presentations, and clinical teaching.

**Hours of Work**:
Hours will be coordinated in conjunction with the needs of the team and scheduled between Monday and Friday (8:30 am to 4:30pm)

**Your Qualifications**:

- Masters Degree in Social Work required
- Currently licensed with, or eligible to be licensed with, the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers required.
- Minimum two (2) years post masters degree experience in adult mental health required, with preference given to individuals with clinical experience. Three years of experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience delivering individual assessment and case management of a range of adult mental illnesses required. Experience providing care and treatment to women with perinatal presentations an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of substance misuse and harm reduction.
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based treatment through group interventions an asset.
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based treatment required. Dialectic Behaviour Therapy skills an asset. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive behavior Therapy for trauma an asset.
- Experience in crisis management required.
- Training in Suicide Risk Assessment required
- Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to family centred care.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organization and time management skills.
- Competencies in other languages an asset.
