The Eye Clinic is seeking a serious and responsible Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Perform basic and routine administrative duties that may include but are not limited to greeting patients, answering telephone, returning messages, preparing patient charts, check-in and out, pulling & filing charts, reporting to the physician and other doctors/staff.
- Perform diagnostic testing on patients (e.g. Humphrey Visual Fields, Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT), Pachymetry, iCare Tonometry, Visual Acuity).
- Assisting the manager in and/or overseeing daily clinical and staff matters.
- Explains purpose and procedures for tests to patients.
- Documents test results.
- Maintains patient records.
- Handle high volume of patients during clinic
- OHIP billings and submissions
- Keeping workstations and testing equipment clean and sanitized
- Assist with other duties in the clinic as assigned

- Proficient in English
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with patients, colleagues and doctors in an effective and professional manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
- Ability to problem solve while maintaining excellent patient care
- Ability to work independently & self-motivated
- Passion for helping people

**Clinic hours 7:30am-5pm from Mondays to Friday.**

**Required Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office
- Experience in Ophthalmology an asset
- Sales & Customer Service experience an asset

Contract

**Salary**:
COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and staff are required to wear masks. Common surfaces are sanitized regularly.

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
