Mechanical Drafter

Duties:
- Create detailed 2D animations and drawings of mechanical components and systems
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop and refine mechanical designs
- Examine drawings for conformity and errors
- Updated reviewed drawings to reflect changes and/or errors/omissions
- Produce drawings for shop fabrication/installation and relevant detailing
- Distribute projects, submittals, approvals and drawing requests
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, including assembly instructions and user manuals
- Conduct quality control checks on completed drawings and animations to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Create custom designs as required to meet customer requirements
**Experience**:
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Inventor, for creating 2D animations and drawings
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical specifications
- Experience in building and assembling mechanical components or systems
- Experience with manufacturing ERP software would be considered an asset
- Project management experience
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Note: Experience with 3D modeling software or knowledge of manufacturing processes would be a plus, but not required.
