Batcher/dispatcher

Tomlinson Ready Mix is seeking a skilled Batcher/Dispatcher for their Kingston team. The Batcher/Dispatcher is responsible for answering a high volume of calls while maintaining excellent customer service, entering orders, producing high quality concrete material in a timely and efficient manner, and being responsible for maintaining the daily delivery schedule.

**Location**: Kingston, ON

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assigning trucks to load
- Batching using Marcotte Batching
- Ensuring trucks are at the appropriate job (reviewing direction for accuracy)
- Coordinating raw material deliveries (Aggregates, Cement, Slag and Admixtures)
- Entering delivery receptions
- Coordinating manual admixtures (site added)***
- Escalating issues to Plant Manager as required (plant defects, driver issues, etc.)
- Tracking incidents through ISO reporting
- Performing monthly inventory of raw materials
- Communicating with customers when there is a delay in delivery schedule
- Providing pricing to cash sales customers
- Maintaining plant logs
- Conducting daily plant inspections
- Assisting with training of backup batchers
- Loading of aggregate bins
- Conducting daily plant maintenance and clean up
- Conducting weekly tailgate discussions

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Office/site trailer setting
- May require availability after normal business hours
- The employee will be required to sit for long periods of time

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- High school diploma
- 3+ years experience in Construction, Concrete, Quarry/Scale, or similar industry
