**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- The Employer Liaison will facilitate workshops and coach youth
- Provide individual coaching/counselling regarding action planning, community resources and job search
- Contact employers/organizations to develop work placement opportunities and later visit and call placement sites/participants, and engage in problem solving as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking and submitting attendance, tracking program stats, maintain KPI data, conducting surveys
- Contact participants to conduct follow ups at 3,6,9,12 month intervals and after the program ends to offer further individual assistance, and to determine participants’ achievements in relation to their career action plans
- Coordinate employment placement subsidies and requisite paperwork with employers
- Submit employer claims on a monthly basis
- Ability to meet target numbers and deadlines
- Travel across the GTA to meet with employers and conduct site visits
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, social services, or related area
- Minimum 1 year experience in business and community services (experience in job or placement development is an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of business practices and recruitment/HR issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience leading group workshops and coordinating activities
- Experience with YESS funder and GCOS system
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, community partners, and youth
- Strong marketing, communication and organizational skills
- Computer literate(Internet, MSOutlook, MSOffice)
- Drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
- Strong oral and written language skills an asset
- Able to be accountable for your role and actions
- Able to be in office at Sussex location 2-3 days per week
- *Rate of pay pro-rated for term of the contract*
