Metalcraft Technology Inc. is a manufacturing company with more than 25 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. We serve clients in Canada and the U.S. from our location in Coquitlam, BC. We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our Planning team.

At Metalcraft Technology Inc, the production planner co-ordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within establishments, prepares work and production schedules and monitors the progress of production projects. The Production Planner plans, creates, and manages the production schedule in a way that maximizes production efficiencies and maintains a high level of customer service. The Planner schedules and directs all production departments to ensure production of each work order is completed as per the specs and to the required due dates.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review production requirements and create a detailed production schedule to maximize efficiency (least cost at highest output rate).
- Using ERP to plans and develop weekly production line schedules of assigned departments based on the master schedule plan.
- In addition, may schedule rework, unfinished parts and assemblies, new production releases, and special orders.
- Perform detailed capacity planning on constraints such as machines, labor, time, and space. Adjust the schedule as necessary to maximum capacity utilization and overall highest output rate accordingly.
- Ensure that planned schedule is executed efficiently and on schedule - use bottleneck theory of constraints.
- Perform daily huddles to coordinate/improve/communicate directives and targets.
- Oversee production and supervise the day-to-day operations of production departments.
- Coordinate and set daily targets for each department.
- Coordinate with each production department daily to track output and issues in real-time;
- resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiency or customer service issues as requested, and adjust schedule as needed.
- Work with the Operations Manager to set and/or document; daily, weekly, quarterly targets.
- Continuously improve ERP and Information Systems to maximize benefits and efficiency of the tool.
- Liaison for Customers and Suppliers regarding updates, order status, etc.
- Support other activities as required by company requirements and management direction.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business-related field.
- A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience in Planning, Scheduling
- ERP system experience particularly with manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with team members and customers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams.
