Site Managers are the heart and soul of our projects and are a crucial part of ensuring successful completion of our projects. Constructing multi-unit residential apartments requires several teams: employees, subcontractors, 3rd party professionals, town representatives, and many more. Our Site Manager will maintain relationships with all these teams, schedule and review their work during the project, and ensure everyone on site is working together effectively. Your people skills will be your largest asset in this position, along with effective critical thinking and communication skills. You will be the main contact on site for the Project Manager(s), as well as owners or customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- First person on site, last person to leave.
- Responsible for all access keys, along with camera monitoring and security.
- Ensure sub-crews are performing safely, cleanly, competently and quickly.
- Answers to Project Manager(s)
- Can recommend hiring and firing of sub-crews.
- Utilize construction skills to fill gaps on any sub-crew, as needed.
- Partially responsible for ensuring project is on time and on budget.
- Read and understand plans and ensure sub-crews are following them.

**Daily Tasks and Duties**:

- Arranges and attends inspections; follows-up with inspection requests.
- Organizes toolbox meetings, safety meetings, and others as required.
- Deals with hazards, injuries, and any other emergencies.
- Maintains strong understanding of all code requirements for operations.
- Identifies bottlenecks and find solutions - hiring help or ordering materials.
- Risk identification to put preventative measures in place against foreseen issues.
- Order and monitor purchases for construction crew, and subs as required.
- Read plans and ensure sub-crews are following them.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Post secondary education is an asset, but not required.
- Expert in construction industry.
- Proven management experience and people skills.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is an asset, for reviewing reports with Project Manager(s).
- Driver’s license (required)

**Work Schedule**:

- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Available to Owners 24/7 or notify if you will be unavailable.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week

**Experience**:

- construction: 5 years (preferred)
