**Microbiology laboratory technician (Montreal, QC)**

**Microbiology laboratory technician**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Working in a very fast paced environment by performing full analytical testing of assigned materials or products within standard times and under minimum guidance.
- Analysis of air/swab/tape-lift/bulk environmental samples via direct microscopy for the identification and quantification of mold spores
- The position relies heavily on comprehensive microscopy techniques on environmental samples per established SOP's and pharmacopoeia product specifications
- Documenting and reporting results
- Conducting laboratory investigation as required
- Providing technical support to other analysts
- Performing trouble-shooting on complex issues with respect to laboratory analysis and laboratory instrumentation
- Performing all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
- Maintaining professional relationship with Internal/External Customers

**Skills & Qualification Required**:

- University Degree in Science - Microbiology
- Must be part or eligible to the Association des Microbiologistes du Québec (AMQ)
- Knowledge of analytical techniques in IAQ (indoor air quality)
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must (both French and English)
- Computer proficiency with MS Office programs
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail
- laboratory experience: 1 year

Required education:

- Bachelor's +

**Salary**: $ 20.00 /hour

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
