POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC has recently completed a strategic review, setting a new ambition for the impact the bank wants to have on Canada and its entrepreneurs in the years to come, combined with a digital transformation program. As part of these changes and in the context of the evolution towards an Agile way of working, product groups have been formed based on business areas and composed of product managers among others.
As a manager of the digital products team, you will have the opportunity to lead, develop and support a team of product managers involved in the various programs as well as the business analysts who support them.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Lead, coach and support a team of product managers involved in numerous initiatives related to the organization's priority programs.- Develops the Product Marketing Manager methodology to ensure consistency across all products.- Develops the expertise of the team in order to make them grow.- Builds a close relationship with team members to help them achieve success and reach their professional goals.- Builds and maintains strong relationships with various stakeholders including business areas, technologies, product managers in both Agile and Matrix mode-
- Demonstrate leadership and creativity in service model innovation.- Stay abreast of and familiar with developments, trends and best practices in design, tools, approaches and technologies to be able to recommend relevant and sound improvements.- Ensure that product managers and business analysts have the space to develop good relationships with their stakeholders (related to influencing leadership)- Support the implementation of a standardized methodology for business analysts in our Marketing department
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, e-business, marketing, communications or a related field.- At least 3 years in a product management position combine to 7 years of experience in the digital industry with at least 4 years in a team management role.- Knowledge of the financial or consulting industry (an asset).- Experience working in an agile delivery environment.- Excellent skills as a Senior Product Manager and in management.- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.- Experience in coaching and team development.- Excellent understanding of the ever-changing digital marketing landscape.- Strong ability to support a team in an Agile mode and manage them in a dynamic environment.- Excellent interpersonal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with partners, business units and stakeholders to achieve common goals.- Good time management, organizational and planning skills.- Prioritization methods (Cost of Delay, priority matrix, MSCW, etc)- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Proactive, determined and results-oriented person.- Team player, customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.- Bilingualism (French and English).
