**About us**

Our goal at South Delta Counselling and Wellness is to have a team of dedicated professionals provide high-quality counseling services in a warm and welcoming environment. We are specifically looking for clinicians that work with children aged 6 and up. You will have access to some play therapy supplies.

Duties

**Children's play therapy -**Utilize a variety of play therapy techniques and modalities to promote emotional expression, communication, and problem-solving skills. Provide guidance and support to parents or caregivers on how to facilitate therapeutic play at home. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and educators, to ensure holistic care for clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes.

**Individual and Couples Counseling - **Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide individual and sessions to clients, tailoring treatment plans to address their specific needs and goals. Offer immediate support and crisis intervention to clients in distress, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being. Regularly evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on clients' progress and feedback to ensure they are receiving the most beneficial care.

**Documentation**: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.

**Collaborative Care**: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure clients receive holistic care and support.

**Advertising**:You will have your own advertising methods (Cousnelling BC, Psychology Today)

**Experience and Requirments**:

- Master’s University Degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
- Additional training in any modality is considered an asset (EMDR, play therapy somatic, EFT, DBT, CBT, IFS etc...)
- Excellent English language proficiency skills, both verbal and written
- Must have professional liability insurance
- Experience with Jane Software is an asset
- Ability to provide services in-person at our Ladner office. Days to be negotiated with the Director.

Pay: $120.00-$135.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
