**What Are We About?**:
We are currently recruiting contract faculty to teach in our Electrician Apprenticeship and Electrical Techniques Programs.
The Fleming College Electrical programs help students develop basic skills and knowledge in electrical theory and electrical code compliant installation methods. Specific instruction in mathematics; project electrical layout; prints and installations; system installations; repair and maintenance; connecting and testing of electrical devices, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring; alarm communication, lighting, heating and power and control systems and motion control; computer-based control systems and motion control; and safety and trade calculations is included to meet employers' needs.

You have a relevant combination of education and recent experience, including a Certificate of Qualification as a Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A), completed through a formal apprenticeship program, and minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in the Electrical Construction and Maintenance sector. A three-year technologist diploma in electrical or a related discipline would be an asset. In addition you have current health and safety certification(s) in one or more of the following: Hoisting &Rigging, Working at Heights, Confined Space Awareness, Trenching Awareness, Lockout/Tagout. Fire alarm certification is an asset as is experience developing and delivering pre-C of Q exam preparation courses.
You are well-versed in trade-related health and safety measures, current distribution related code requirements and regulations, electronics and instrumentation and are able to demonstrate knowledge of current methods and technologies. You have strong analytical, trouble shooting, project management, and mathematical abilities as well as the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. This position can be physically demanding, assisting students in installation practices for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
