This is a position for the person looking for a career in the Waste and Recycling industry. While the work can get messy at times, it is always challenging. It is a physical job, with some light weight lifting.

We service a large number of Waste and Recycling sites across Southern Manitoba. We are the only company dedicated to this industry in the Province and we are growing. We also work on projects across Canada.

The person we are looking for is:
Punctual.

Non-smoker.

Ready to work every day.

You listen to, and follow, instructions. You also **ask** questions, in order to learn and do your job better and safer.

Has a valid drivers license and clean driver abstract, as there are company vehicles in use.

Clean **Criminal Record check** and **Child Abuse Registry**. (cost will be rebated back if hired)

You have a grasp of basic mechanics. If you don't, but are willing to learn, we can teach you.

**Hydraulic** knowledge an asset, but, can be taught.

You know which end of the screwdriver to hold.

**Forklift** operation an asset. We can also train you.

**Welding**: a major bonus if you know how to.

There is not a lot of height work other than an 8 or 10 foot ladder to climb on occasion.

**Weight lifting**: some of the parts we use can weigh several hundred kilo's. We use lifting equipment for this purpose. Understanding of rigging and lifting these items will be taught and supervised at all times to avoid all injuries. There will be some smaller pieces to lift or position by hand, to a max weight of around 30 kilo's. There is also a 2nd person around for any weight involved work.

**Electrical knowledge** is also an asset, but not necessary. You will **not** be working on any live electrical equipment. We have licensed Electricians that will take care of that. You will also be taught Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure a safe workplace for all.

**Hours**: currently we are able to offer this as a part time contract position, at approximately 20 hours per week, with the goal of it becoming full time sooner than later.

**Travel**: Some travel may be required. Usually they are just day trips with a few extra travel hours, or the odd trip up north, or out of province. Expenses are covered for trips.

**Start date**: We would like someone to start as soon as possible.
