**Description**:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent or designate, the Instrumentation & Control Technician is responsible for installing, calibration, repairing, and maintaining all electronic process control field instrumentation at the Ascot Resources site. The Instrumentation Mechanic will foster a health and safety culture of Zero Harm while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental provincial and federal regulations, legislations, and policies.

**Key Job Functions**:

- Installs, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic process control field instrumentation such as flowmeters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, guided radar transmitters, pneumatic & electric actuators, weigh scales, zero speed sensors and temperature sensors.
- Performs all aspects of installation and inspections of sensors where required, including piping and wiring.
- Completes required maintenance reports and logs.
- Works cohesively with other tradespeople.
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
- Contributes to the development of apprentices and work as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets.
- Champion's safety and identifies hazards and promotes safety awareness and compliance through day-to-day attitudes and actions.
- Maintains compliance and enforces adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies, legal and business ethics, privacy, safety, environmental and sustainability policies, the Mines Act, Provincial and Federal laws, legislation, and regulations pertaining to the mining industry.
- Adjusts and establishes daily tasks to meet changing orders of priorities.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Required Education/Professional Qualifications**:

- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson's Instrumentation & Control Technician certification.
- 3+ years of Instrumentation experience in mining, construction, or industry.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's licence or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite® with Excel proficiency.

An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to work full-time on a shift rotation independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and moving for long periods of time; and lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. throughout a shift in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in conditions exposed to the elements (snow, rain, sub-freezing weather, heat, and wind).
- Ability to wear a respirator which requires an interference-free seal when required.
