We are seeking a compassionate support worker / friendly visitor to visit a senior bed-bound male resident in a nursing home to provide friendly visits when the family is unable to go. The individual has difficulty speaking, but can communicate via his iPad and by whispers.

**Please note this job is for an independent contractor - **not** **an employee (we would request that you provide an invoice on a weekly, or other, basis).**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Chat, watch television, and generally provide human-contact / friendly visit
- Assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide light grooming assistance (shaving, washing of hair, combing of hair, cleaning glasses)
- Assist in helping resident be more comfortable (this may involve physically moving the resident into different positions in his bed)

**NO REQUIREMENT TO CHANGE THE RESIDENT, BATHE THE RESIDENT, PREPARE MEALS OR PERFORM LAUNDRY SERVICES**
