The Assaulted Women's Helpline (AWHL) is a community-based organization located in the west end of

Toronto. The AWHL works from an integrated feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppression framework.

We offer a confidential and anonymous 24-hour telephone and TTY helpline for women in Ontario who have experienced abuse and the senior safety line for seniors who have experienced elder abuse in

Ontario. Our trained counsellors provide crisis intervention, telephone/online counselling, emotional support, safety planning, information, and referrals in over 200 languages.

The Assaulted Women’s Helpline is seeking a Digital Media & Fundraising Officer to work alongside the

Manager of Resource Development and provide support to additional team members as required.

We’re looking for a creative and thoughtful individual who strives to make a positive difference in the lives of women, seniors and their families. You are naturally curious and willing to learn and grow.

**What will you do?**

You will play a key role in all critical tasks related to the core fundraising and digital communications needs of the agency and you expect your time to be split 50/50 between fundraising and digital media.

Your tasks will include (but are not limited to):
Digital Media:

- Develop and execute multi-media content to help raise AWHL’s visibility and that of the Senior

Safety Line across a variety of platforms.
- Increase engagement on our organization’s website(s) and social media channels
- Create a social media calendar that will effectively support special events and community outreach.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of social media.

Fundraising:

- Assist with the planning and coordination of special events, third party events, and annual campaigns
- Develop support materials for outreach events where required
- Research funding prospects for current and future programs including opportunities for ethno
- cultural partnerships
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders and community partners
- Gift processing (by mail and online) and issuing tax receipts
- Maintenance of our various CRM’s and donation databases (duplicate merges, update records)
- Engage and coordinate volunteers as required to support fundraising activities

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Degree/Certificate in Fundraising, Communications, or relevant field experience).
- Proficiency on Social Media platforms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High competence with Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Google Ads Manager a bonus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with mínimal direction.
- Good judgment and willingness to ask questions.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evening and/or weekends
