Master Carpenter

We are looking for a **Master Carpenter**, to join us to build an incredible, high-end homes within the city of Vancouver. Solaris Properties is looking for a Carpenter with extensive experience in residential construction.

**Requirements**:

- Certified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) preferred but will consider minimum 3 years of field supervision experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
- 8+ years of experience working as a carpenter in a luxury/custom home setting
- Must have strong carpenter experience with hardwood flooring, cabinets, doors and windows installation
- Valid driver’s license
- Own vehicle and clear Drivers Abstract
- Must have own hand tools

Qualifications:

- Able to ensure the execution of the single-family construction processes are carried out thoroughly
- Able to lead a team under the direction of the site supervisor for additional support
- Skilled in rough and finish carpentry work
- Be knowledgeable and familiar with construction documents, drawings, and local building codes
- To inspect finished materials for quality and accuracy
- Assist Site Superintendent with the coordination and scheduling of other trades
- General housekeeping including maintaining a tidy and orderly job site
- Setup/removal of protection material for finished work (i.e. laying melamine, laying drop sheets, setting up plastic coverings, etc.)
- To build and install millwork
- To construct high end back-framing (fireplaces, roofs, etc.)
- Keep orderly records of mileage, job receipts and accurate time-sheets

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- residential construction: 8 years (preferred)
- field supervision: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- Fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- BC Drivers License and Vehicle (required)
