Langley, Canada CB Process Instrumentation & Controls Full time

**POSITION**:Service Technician

**LOCATION**: Langley, BC

**REPORTS TO**:Service Manager

**Who You Are**:
You are a one-of-a-kind service technician who, with the right training, can provide commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of CB’s product line offerings. You support CB’s Team to achieve growth and meet company revenue targets. You are a team player and can leverage CB’s offerings when performing service tasks. You provide top notch customer service and represent CB in a professional and strategic manner.

Your core responsibilities will be troubleshooting and repair of Actuators, Instrumentation and Control Valves. Your daily activities will be mostly based onsite working with our clients to commission and troubleshoot CB’s line of products. Extensive travel will be required (mostly Lower Mainland based).

**About the Role**:

- Review vendor websites, vendor Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals, and through resources provided by the Internal Team to familiar yourself with CB offerings.
- Answer telephone calls from customers via the CB Service Phone Support line.
- Process Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
- Performs basic wiring and troubleshooting of 2-wire, 4-wire, and other instrumentation devices.
- Follow instructions and vendor IOMs to perform in house service tasks.
- Perform site visits as a Secondary Service Tech, working closely with the Primary Service Tech.
- Perform tasks safely and wears PPE as necessary in accordance with the company HSE.
- Participate in all required training programs.
- All other duties as assigned from time to time.
- Provide technical support to CB employees as requested.
- Engage with AM's and BDM's to support company's product sales.
- Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Required Experience**:

- Certified Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Instrumentation Technician
- Has an ability to understand and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings/schematics.
- Ability to understand customer needs to build a customer focused solution.
- Be a strong team player to liaise between Principals/Customers/Internal Team.
- Ability to travel domestically approximately 50% travel potential, weekends possible.
- Clean drivers abstract must be provided at time of hire and annual driver’s abstracts are required.
- Strong Mechanical skills is an asset.

Pay: $37.00-$45.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
