E&O Financial Advisor Adjuster

We are currently looking to add experienced Adjusters to our team Can work in a REMOTE environment.

The Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience:
Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations. Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.

o Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Onedrive)

o Effective written skills including grammar and those of a technical nature.

o Effective interpersonal skills and ability to flex style appropriate to the audience.

o Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.

o Proactive and positive approach to customer service with Professional Insureds, ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a sensitive and timely manner.

o Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.

o Ability to adhere to KPI related to client metrics and performance management.

o Strong understanding MFDA and IIROC requirements

o Ability to communicate with Company Compliance Officers regarding internal investigations in a professional manner.

o Thorough knowledge of personal finance, taxes, budgets and investing

o Understanding of risk management as it relates to financial planning.

o Ability to carry out negotiation and present and draft settlements to assisting in concluding claims.

o Strong investigation skills related tasks such as effective analytical skills, and identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.

o Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.

o Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.

o Previous adjusting experience preferred.

o Experience with litigation is an asset.

o Understanding of professional liability coverages is an asset.

Qualifications & Education:
o University degree or post-secondary education or certification related to finance.

o Preferred education in Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

o Claims adjusting experience, specifically dealing with Errors and Emission claims is an asset.

o Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in working with financial related matters.

o Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.

o Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing or have completed the CIP designation.

o Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning and pursing CIP designation would be required for the success planning in this role.
