Working in a team environment, employees are expected to work safely and efficiently while complying with all plant safety programs.

**Nature and Scope**:
The summer student will work at the Surrey plant and Port Kells warehouse for vacation relief and to work on special projects at both locations. Under the guidance of the plant or warehouse Supervisor, the Summer Student will perform duties such as rail car unloading area assisting the crew by debagging wallboard for distribution and preparing railcars to be returned once unloaded. Perform maintenance duties such as painting, small housekeeping tasks including Project Home tasks. Self-motivated individuals with an ability to work independently with mínimal supervision is preferred. Exercise personal safety, promote and enforce safety among crew members. This position will end on September 1, 2023.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma and currently enrolled or returning to post-secondary school in the fall.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
