**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify and diagnose mental health, emotional, and developmental conditions in children and youth.
- Provide evidence-based interventions, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child, focusing on improving emotional regulation, coping strategies, and mental health.
- Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Behavioral Consultants) to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Offer support and guidance to families and caregivers, helping them understand and support their child’s emotional and mental health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and ethical guidelines in child psychology.
**Qualifications**:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program.
- Registered with the **College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)** or other relevant regulatory body.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with neurodiverse or neurodevelopmental needs, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and standards in the field of psychology.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $63.94-$68.86 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
