Herbicide Applicator

**Responsibilities**
- Identify weeds and plant types to determine the best course of action.
- Travel to various sites operating herbicide applicator equipment, adhering to all company and environmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure a successful outcome on all projects.
- Prepare and safely transport herbicides and pesticides to the job site.
**Requirements**:
- AB Industrial Pesticide Applicators or AB Authorized Assistant certification
- Previous experience in a leadership role an asset.
- Strong shrub and plant identification skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License **mandatory **and capable of driving a 1 or 2 tonne truck. Experience with larger vehicles and trailers and/or air brake endorsement preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a small team with mínimal direct supervision.
- Farming and/or mechanical background is a strong asset
- First Aid certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards.

Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
