As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of different entities within Virgo Group. You will be providing financial leadership and support to ensure the financial health and growth of each entity. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing financial strategies and policies that align with the overall goals and objectives of the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing financial strategies and plans that align with the overall business objectives of the organization. This includes creating budgets, forecasts, and financial models for each entity within the parent company to help the company make informed business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This includes preparing financial statements, managing audits, and complying with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Risk Management: Assessing and managing financial risk, including identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Capital Management: Managing the company's capital structure across different entities, including debt and equity financing, to optimize the company's financial resources.
- Investor Relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with investors and analysts, and providing financial guidance and analysis to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Leadership and Team Management: Providing leadership to the finance team, setting goals and objectives, and ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to achieve those goals.
- Corporate Strategy: Collaborating with other members of the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans for different entities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring subordinates comply with company compliance policies addressing Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, National Instruments 31-103 and National Instruments 81-102. Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards.
- Licensing: Prepared to be licensed as a CFO with all provincial securities commissions and IIROC.
- Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organization and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice.
- Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs for each entity within the Virgo Group.
- Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information for each entity within the Virgo Group.
- Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related policies and procedures.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry.
- Experience in a senior financial leadership role is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA is required.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with overall business objectives, and to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify financial risks and opportunities and make informed business decisions.
- High ethical standards, strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong commitment to the success of the company.
- Ability to collaborate with upper management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals.
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software.
