Drywall Taper

Responsibilities:

- English is required, but lots of us speak polish or Ukrainian
- Able to work as a team
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to cover walls, ceilings, and partitions
- Prepare surfaces by removing old wallpaper or paint, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing them using appropriate tools
- Sand and smooth seams, corners, and other surfaces to ensure a seamless appearance
- Repair or replace damaged drywall panels as needed
- Follow blueprints or instructions to ensure accurate installation and finishing

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Taper or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding construction plans
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and materials
- Familiarity with carpentry tools and equipment used in the trade
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing gaps and cracks
- Experience with construction painting is a plus

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Drywall: 3 years (required)
