**Experienced Law Clerk needed for busy litigation team.**

**Roles and responsibilities include**:

- Organization and tracking of files, including correspondence, client and court documents, utilizing internal filing systems;
- Drafting a variety of documentation from precedents and/or directions, including pleadings, forms and correspondence;
- Moving and preparing files throughout various stages of the litigation process, from issuing and serving pleadings to Examinations for Discovery, preparation of motion materials and other court processes as required;
- Communication with court staff and/or tribunal officials;
- Monthly invoicing and preparation of accounts;
- Communicating directly with judicial/tribunal officials in connection with the client’s file.

**Key Qualifications Include**:

- 2+ years of experience as a law clerk in a litigation or other fast-paced legal environment;
- Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable judicial Practice Directions;
- Familiarity with various tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Landlord Tenant Board;
- Experience with ACL and PC Law is an asset;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Capacity to work independently as well as in a team;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines with the capacity to balance competing priorities as required;
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and work ethic.
