We are currently seeking an innovative Retail Department Manager to manage the team and share our vision of providing superior quality products. In this position you will report to the Store Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

- Three or more years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment
- People management skills (strong leadership skills, organizational structure, communication, motivation, performance management, succession planning etc.)
- Product knowledge - Strong interest and knowledge of food and food trends
- Entrepreneurial spirit and approach to business
- Strong sense of creativity and proven ability to innovate
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong customer service experience and ability
- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Financially savvy: ability to meet and maintain high sales, wage targets, profitability etc.
- The ability to lead & control inventory counts, control food costs, manage waste
- Confidence, drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Time and Attendance management software, etc.
- Strong interpersonal & team building skills
- Vendor relationship skills and purchasing skills (procurement, supply chain management)
- Organizational awareness
- Delegation skills and coaching skills
- Has an ability to build trust and rapport with others; develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- Follows through on commitments
- Flexible Scheduling
- Frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required
