**Job summary**:
Unity Farm is seeking 1 staff members to work in farm labour positions, assisting with the
understand and enjoy working outdoors under all weather conditions; is physically fit and able
to perform tasks for long periods of time (including heavy lifting up to 30lbs, repetitive tasks,
standing and squatting, walking); learns quickly; follows directions; pays close attention to
detail; enjoys working with others and by themselves; has experiences and is interested in
learning more about, vineyard and orchard management, berries, herbs, perennial plants and
landscaping.

**What you will do**:
Weeding and crop maintenance (pruning, trellising, covering etc.).
Basic landscaping and ground maintenance.
Following crop plans and maintaining important records.
Irrigating crops and assisting with irrigation system set up/takedown and maintenance.
Using various hand tools and small machinery.
Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand.

**Qualifications**:
Qualifications
- Past experience in vegetable farming, vineyard and/ or orchard care
- Experience hard or soft landscaping

- Reliable and able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Positive attitude
- Good listener, able to take direction
- Adhere to safety standards
- Safety training (WHMIS) considered an asset
