If you interested in working in an inclusive, positive, child-led program please consider joining our amazing team of educators at the Lower Sackville Nursery School. We are a non-profit toddler and preschool program serving Lower Sackville families for over 50 years.
- Work collaboratively with educators and administration to plan and deliver programming that is emergent, holistic, play-based, child-led, and developmentally-appropriate.
- Provide care to children as appropriate to the guidelines and structure of the program.
- Maintain an awareness of each child regarding behaviour, development, and additional needs; meet with the Director, Assistant Director, and/or families to relay any questions or concerns.
- Maintain acceptable levels of hygiene, quality, and cleanliness within classrooms, washrooms, and the outdoor playspace at all times.
- Keep the Director informed of attendance, program concerns, family concerns, issues regarding children, progress of programs, and needs for the centre (materials, etc.)
- Foster a warm, friendly, and stimulating environment that promotes self-esteem, socialization, and growth.
- Research new activities that can be implemented centre-wide.
- Comply with all guidelines with respect to Health and Fire Regulations, Safety Orders, Licensing requirements, and COVID Protocol.
- Other duties, as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Level 1, 2 or 3 Early Childhood Education classification (Nova Scotia).
- Up to date Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Up to date Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Up to date CPR Level "C" certification.

**Salary**: $19.67-$25.12 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
