Host (Italia)

Overview:
A structured Host/Hostess role is critical to provide guidance to guests in the restaurant or casino. The Host/Hostess will typically spend the most time with guests during their stay at the restaurant.

Responsible for greeting the guests, seating them and explaining any specials or other relevant information.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners Prepare tables or counters for meals.
- Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of restaurant personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons Stock the service area with supplies (e.g. coffee, glassware).
- Assist the servers and server assistants where necessary (i.e.: clearing plates, setting tables)
- Italia Host/Hostess may be required to work in another food and beverage outlet from time to time as directed by management
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- AGLC - Proserve/Protect preferred
- Must have previous customer service experience, preferably in a related environment.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours/day.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing, positive and upbeat

The schedule for this position requires an open availability and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays
