**Salary**: $78,497-$93,825

The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) supports a flexible working culture and currently provides the opportunity for employees to work from home in addition to working in the office for some positions. The YRDSB implemented Working From Home Guidelines to facilitate this work option.

In compliance with Board policies and procedures, responsible for working closely with Project Managers, Project team members and end users to define their needs and requirements by creating business and system functional requirement documents to meet the Boards business objectives and increase business partners’ satisfaction.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Interface with Boards business partners and end users to gather requirements.

Document requirements and processes using business analysis techniques such as Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Context Diagrams and Business Process Maps.

Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to develop process, gather requirement, drive design and

implement strategy.

Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements of quality and specified in an

appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements.

Develop test strategy and test cases and execute acceptance test plans.

Support project implementation by assisting the business with developing a training plan, providing material, and

doing the training.

Attend various committee meetings.

To perform other duties as assigned.

**LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY**:
Responsible to Manager - Project Office.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
A three-year university degree in Business Administration or equivalent, as approved by the Board, is required.

Minimum five years in Information Systems or Business related experience is required.

Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, project management, problem solving, and

presentation skills are required.

Ability to think critically, make decisions, prioritize issues, drive desired results and deal effectively with a variety

of individuals and groups both within and outside of the Board is required.

Overall experience should include a minimum of five years with relational database and client-server concepts

and system development methodologies.

Proficient with personal computer productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, MS Outlook and Project

Management tools.
