Mainland is hiring We are looking for experienced **Lane Technician** to join our team.

The Opportunity

The Lane Technician will be responsible for understanding and implementing the traffic management plan for the site and ensuring the movement of people and trucks adheres to the plan in a safe manner.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Work safely on a construction site and promote a safe work environment adhering to safety policies and procedures including participation in safety meetings
- Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and takedown of signage for Mainland Energy site(s)
- Responsible for the safe and courteous movement of vehicles and personnel at the assigned job site(s)
- May be required to help maintain the cleanliness of the job site, using a shovel and broom to clean dirt and debris
- Acting as an interface with the public for Mainland Group, the Lane Technician is required to work with the public, clients, and Mainland crews
- Responsible for tracking and documenting truck movement
- Responsible for maintaining company vehicle to appropriate standards
- Train other employees and maintain quality results of work
- Support other crew members on daily site activities outside of job scope

Qualifications, Experience & Skillset
- Experience as a Lane Technician
- Experience handling lane closure equipment and understanding processes
- Valid Lane Technician certification is preferred
- Applied knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Able to identify all hazards associated with various aspects of working on construction sites, as well as correctly communicating safety issues as they arise
- First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset
- Good communications ability, able to work with variety of individuals
- Must be physically fit, able to spend most or all of shift standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and working hands-on in an outdoor environment in all types of weather
- Flexible with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed
- Willingness to learn and have a good work ethic
