**BRAND NEW CENTRE OPENING in 2024**

**Cedar Creek Childcare Centre** is looking to hire a brand new team of Early Childhood Educators Cedar Creek is a Niagara Region Born and Growing centre, that aims to foster a culture of diversity and open-mindedness for all.

**What will you be doing**:
As a **Registered Early Childhood Educator**, you will work side-by-side with other teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

- Take the lead in developing and implementing a program in line with Hickory Creek’s curriculum that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Observe and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents, guardians and supervisor
- Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
- Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
- Adhere to all centre policies and procedures
- Follow all guidelines according to Ministry of Education CCEYA and “how does learning happen” pedagogy
- Base pay based on experience plus $2.00 WEG and $1.00 CWELCC (base + $2.00 + $1.00) Minimum rate: $24.00 ($21.00+$2.00+$1.00)

**Qualifications**
- Applicants must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check from the Regional police (within the last 6 months)
- Applicants must have a Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
- Knowledge of HiMama an asset

**Additional information**:
This is a full-time position. Schedule: Monday to Friday. All shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, for a total of 9 hour shifts with an hour of unpaid lunch. Closed all Statutory Holidays.

Indoor and outdoor environment.

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
