**Position: Dispatcher**

**Term: Permanent**

**Location: Beamsville, ON**

**Position Summary & Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Distribution Manager the Dispatcher will be responsible for the distribution of 50 plus trucks/drivers as well as being responsible for the productivity of 2 to 3 concrete plants. Your position will require you to maintain a high level of customer service while minimizing non productive driver time in order to achieve budget targets.

**Essential Job Results**:

- Ensure Environmental and Health & Safety standards are maintained by; Promoting a safe work environment; documenting and reporting all related issues as per company policies; As first contact you will be coordinating all emergency situations with management, human resources and field staff
- Dispatching of trucks by; organizing, analyzing and overseeing the assigned work load in order to provide a high level of customer service while achieving all budgetary targets
- Supervising of hourly employees by; assigning employee shifts; maintaining accurate attendance records; documenting all performance related incidents and coach for better performance when required
- Improve efficiency by; analyzing kpi’s and developing strategies and recommendations for improvements
- Improve customer service by; Evaluating all information at hand to determine what type of action are necessary to satisfy the delivery needs of the customer; uses tools as Command dispatching software, GPS, Motorola Voip, Voiceprint call recorder and Excel; Work closely with Customer Service Representatives, Field Representatives and Sales staff to address all customer service related concerns.

**Position Requirements (Experience, Technical Expertise)**:

- Strong computers skills (MS Office, Excel)
- Sound knowledge of OH&S policies, procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with equipment, technology and processes related to the ready-mix concrete industry
- Must be flexible to work various shifts and weekends
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Golden Horse shoe and surrounding areas.

**Education**:

- CET diploma or related construction field experience.
