**SCOPE**
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Analyze business unit needs, elicits, validates and document business requirements, translate business requirements into a conceptual system design. Recommends solutions and best practices required to implement and support the business.
- Implement the designed solutions with the stakeholders.
- Provide expert knowledge on University business processes managed by the system, system. interactions/integrations and dependencies with other modules pertaining to the data managed by the SIS.
- Understand system interconnectivity and proactively performs analysis and monitors data to ensure that dependent inter-dependent systems and associated interfaces are synchronized (Moodle, FRIS, SAP, CCE, GDEU) and works to ensure the data is accurate and complete.
- Provide detailed functional specifications and technical requirements pertaining to development efforts Works closely with IITS to coordinate, review and support the development and rollout of new features to the user community.
- Create and maintain business process maps related to new processes/features or changes to existing features/processes.
- Analyze user reported systems issues and work closely with IITS to identify, test and deliver solutions to problems.
- Develop and maintain robust testing plans and participate in all phases of testing (unit, scenario, user acceptance, regression) during SIS upgrades and feature deployment, including coordination of the user acceptance testing and sign-off processes.
- Work closely with the user community to analyze new features and functionalities when vendor released packages are available, recommend a deployment plan to ensure it is in line with the objectives set forward by the SIS governance structure.
- Identify impacts to documentation and training pertaining to system upgrades and improvements. Perform knowledge transfer and provide support to Training and documentation unit (Presto) as well as high-level initial training on new features implemented in SIS. Provide training and documentation on niche business processes not handled by the training and documentation unit.
- Provide backup expertise to other modules in the Planning and Support office when needed.
- Perform other tasks in support of the Planning & Support office as required by the Manager.
- Work collaboratively with IITS to deliver new features, enhance the SIS in addition to communicating system related issues and changes to the broad Concordia user community.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field and two to four years of related work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment.
- Strong analytical and functional requirement documentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills in order to organize work effectively and set work priorities under time constraints.
- Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both member of a team and independently.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Query Manager tool and the underlying SIS data model.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Visio for process mapping.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and good knowledge (intermediate level) of Word for documentation creation and maintenance.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English in order to provide complex information, clear explanations and documentation to end-users. Basic knowledge (Level 3) of spoken French.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of SQL developer, PeopleTools Application Designer and relational database structures are assets.
