**Responsibilities**
- Secure and negotiate leases while adhering to leasing and financial standards within tight timelines in both US and Canada.
- Renew and manage all lease obligations for the US and Canada.
- Identify landlords that have properties in target locations.
- Working with landlords to establish rapport and set up meetings.
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of our target markets and existing store markets.
- Working cross-functionally, manage the Operations and Store Development Teams to ensure we achieve our objectives for new store opening targets.
- Negotiate new and existing (e.g. renewals) lease agreements.
- Communicate and track critical dates for new and existing locations.
- Research online locations and individuals to identify new leads and potential property opportunities.
- Perform and manage administrative tasks related to new store openings.

**Qualifications**
- College diploma in a paralegal/legal assistant program.
- 1-3 years of experience within Commercial Real Estate, including lease negotiations and developing a network of contacts.
- Strong understanding of and experience with US and Canadian retail markets.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of lease language and documents.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Canadian and US retail roll-out.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Effective negotiation skills.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- commercial lease: 1 year (preferred)
- Negotiation: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
