Responsibilities: The selected applicant(s) will contribute to and support the conduct of original research which may include designing research questions and studies, conducting literature reviews, collecting data, accessing existing data, performing data management and data cleaning, designing data analysis plans, conducting data analyses, reporting results, and drafting and revising manuscripts. The selected applicant will also support ongoing research efforts as needed, including submitting/maintaining IRB documentation, contributing to drafting proposals, consulting on methods and analyses with other team members and collaborators, and related research coordination activities.
Qualifications: Qualified individuals must have a Masters degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a closely related field, must be proficient in programming in Stata or R, and skilled at conducting statistical analyses independently. Applicants must have experience contributing to quantitative epidemiologic research, including undertaking data management and data analyses. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage multiple projects, clarity in written work, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The research assistant(s) will conduct rigorous research in an academic setting while upholding the highest of research standards. We are a dynamic infectious disease research group that works collaboratively to advance the field of infectious disease epidemiology and we are eager to expand our team.
